Online Writing Jobs - Your resource for online writing jobs

No Bullcrap in this post. Sorry for neglecting this blog for so long!

Ok, everyone knows you can submit articles here and there at places like Associated Content, Constant Content, Helium, Daily Article, etc.. If you are lucky, you will either get an up-front payment along with piddly residuals or someone will buy it flat out. Let me show you an easy way to make a killing.

The first thing you will want to do is visit Clickbank. You can either go to www.clickbank.com or you can go here (my affiliate link thing) Really Long Link if you want. I'm not sure what it does, probably nothing for us writers lol. You might need to sign up with them to see the next few areas but trust me, it's worth it. It's free to sign up anyway.

Ok, Go over and click the Marketplace area. You should see a screen with categories divided into: Business, Health, Home, Computing, Etc.. Click on one of those to see the products Clickbank has available for people to sell for them. We aren't interested in selling anything but it's interesting to get a "behind the scenes" look at how many people on the Internet are making money. They create and sell this junk and get thousands of other people to sell it too! This is where we come in.

People REALLY want to start their own home business so they can simply set up a website, hock the crap on Clickbank and become lazy, millionaires! Hell, I want that too but I realize it's not that easy. Either way, THOUSANDS of people will try anyway. They will also have a lot of money to invest. The first problem they will face is that they have an empty website. They NEED content. Luckily for us, we just so happen to write content!!

Anyway, all you have to do is click the "View Pitch Page" link below any product and it will take you to that particular product's website. Check it out, and if you feel like you could write a few articles related to that product, go for it. If not, browse around until you find something that isn't too bad.

Now, you have your Clickbank product and a handful of articles about that product. You should gear the articles to be positive but not blatantly "salesy".

People want these articles and they want them yesterday! There are many places to sell these articles. Hell, if you are ambitious enough, start your own website where you ONLY sell Clickbank articles and watch the money pour in.

I highly recommend joining some Clickbank or Affiliate Marketing forums because most of these will have a buy/sell area. You can usually get between $5-$20 per article depending on the quality, length, or whatever.

I recommend Constant Content and Daily Article if you just want to set them somewhere and see what happens. If you hock them on forums though, you can usually get paid in a matter of hours or even minutes which is pretty damn handy.

Here's some forums to check out:
Digital Point
Clickbankforum
abestweb
Warrior Forum

There are hundreds more. Just use Google.

Sure, writing about some of this crap is very boring but it is guaranteed to make you money. Period.

Good luck! If you have some success, feel free to leave a comment for others!!

Thanks for visiting!

Well, I've been using Gomez Peer for some time now and it just activated me so I thought I'd pass it on.

Gomez Peer is a tiny program that runs in the background of your PC. It processes information about websites (Not websites you visit personally) and does something with that information.

Do I know what it does? Not really.
Is it spyware or bad in any way? No, it's perfectly legit.
Is it directing traffic somewhere, somehow? Not that I can see.

It takes up no memory whatsoever so it doesn't interfere with anything you do on your PC. You might make a few dollars a month at best but hey, it's free money!!!

If you want to use me as a referral, that's great! If not, I don't mind.

This doesn't really have anything to do with writing but an extra pack of smokes or couple gallons of gas each month is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Here is the link:

Really Long Link

I think my name on there is Rsunset327 if you want to use me as a referral.

Good luck! It takes a few weeks to get activated so don't worry. I leave it on all the time.

Proof for the Non-believers.

September 15th 2008 04:52
I realize the Internet is full of "Make money at home" garbage. Here is some proof from my PayPal account now that I've been paid a bit from each place.

As you can see I have been paid by:

BrightHub
Associated Content (just page view bonuses)
TextBroker
Demand Studios
and two private places I work for.

This was my worst 30 day period in months as I was getting kids ready for school and had a 4th baby (well my wife had him) in July so my house is louder than a Metallica concert most of the time.

I got some negative comments so wanted to show all my visitors that I mean everything I post on this site.

I'm going to launch a website in the next few months with all the material written by myself but it's not related to making money really....sort of...I may post a link to it if I am every happy with the way it is setup and such.

Keep in mind, I only did 2 articles for Brighthub, about 7 tiny ones for Textbroker, 1 for Demand Studios, and the AC stuff is residual as I haven't written anything on there in ages now.

If I did 5 Demand Studios articles each day which would take 5 hours if I was half-asleep and on Valium, I would make: $2250 if I did 5 EVERY day for 30 days. That's gotta be enough to encourage some of you.

The problem is, I don't like the Demand Studios layout all that much. I appreciate the company and really need to get more stuff done. I will make that a goal for October.

Well, good luck everyone! I'll put more on this blog as I find it. I've been really researching affiliate marketing and trying to see what it's all about so may add a section on that if I think it's worth your time.

Helium

September 11th 2008 01:43

Helium is a place where writers can write about pretty much anything. This is similar to Associated Content but there is one catch. You don't actually make any money. You get page views which many Helium veterans can make add up to a few dollars a month.

This sounds terrible right?

No.

There is a section called The Marketplace. This area lets you view special content requests by people who need something specific. Odds are these topics will be about specific towns, events, pets, games, or something fairly basic. Once in a while there will be something that needs a real writer to do and these will pay very nicely. The only problem is that you will compete with the other Helium writers as there it no limit to how many people can attempt to have their material purchased.

Is Helium even worth your time? Well, I haven't really tried so I can't say. Your best bet would be to join up for free, set up your profile, and drop in a few articles to see what happens. After a few basic articles that might help you become a presence there, hit the marketplace.

I'd probably just go directly to the Marketplace but I'm all about money. I already participate in so many writing communities similar to Helium, I'd end up very confused haha.

Here is a link so you can take a look at what's in the marketplace right now.

Really Long Link

As you can see, there are some fairly basic topics so if they don't get picked up by the person requesting them, there is a possibility you will earn page views.

I'm checking into this still and will update this post again.

Happy Writing.

How much can I make in 1 day!!!

August 19th 2008 04:51
Ok, by popular demand, well, for my own greedy benefit, I'm going to attempt to see how much I can possibly make tomorrow (August 19th) just writing for various sites listed here.

You will probably think I'm insane or a liar but I swear to you I will only post the absolute truth. I do work for a private company that pays well so I might have a leg up on this already. I will write and submit as much stuff as possible though to multiple places so everyone can see exactly how I do it. I won' t be paid immediately so you will have to check back but I WILL post screenshots from my PayPal account that proves what I am doing.

Wish me luck, I have 4 kids and my wife just had a root canal. They don't know I'll be at this computer for hours at a time throughout the day.

I will update my progress along with time taken, money earned, etc..

This should be something!!

Ok, it's almost 10 am. Everyone in my house is being annoying...Let's give it a shot!

10am-10:20am-Textbroker, 1 article-$7.18.
08/19/2008 7.18 $ waiting - - -

That sucked...Time to go private!

10:25-11:45 Private job-$100 made for 5 articles finished. These required little research so I got lucky. I'll do more after lunch but they may take longer Not bad so far though!

Got delayed with family, lunch, kids, puddle of dog pee.

1:40-3:20 Another $100 for 5 more articles. My left hand is starting to feel like a fat woman has been sitting on it for hours. Now I remember why I don't type this much in one day.

Let's see if I can get rid of that damn John McCain ad in the middle of my text here. iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod iPod

Hopefully that does it. Anything is better than that stupid McCain ad lol.

Ok, 4:30-4:55 $10. Brighthub Oblivion Mods article. Should publish in a day or two. I'm slacking I suppose but wanted to spread this day around a bit. I should really do 5 more of my $20 articles as soon as possible but laziness is a hell of a thing to fight.

Well, My total was 317.18.

I WILL show that in my PayPal when they hit.

Well, I haven't been paid by Textbroker or Brighthub just yet and I split my private payment so my wife wouldn't spend it all. Either way, this will show you I made $215. $200 is from a private company, $15 is from Demand Studios for an article that took a whopping 30 minutes to complete. I erased some names because you really don't need to know my wife's name (where I transfer 90% of my cash) or where I shop now do you.

Textbroker (LINK)

August 5th 2008 01:29

I have done just three articles for Textbroker but they seem to be legitimate. The assignments vary greatly and some get snatched up very quickly but this is an easy way to make a few bucks when you don't have ideas for long articles for other sites

SharedReviews (LINK)

July 15th 2008 15:12
SharedReviews is a site that pays you to write small reviews on products you own. I got $10 a few months ago for 5 reviews on kids DVDs that were jusy laying around my house. You do need to put in the products UPC code I think. The format seems to have changed a little bit. It used to be $2 per review. I'm not sure if it's still the same.

This is actually fun to do once in a while. It won't make you a serious income unless you absolutely love to review things but there is some kind of voting system in place now that could help you out. Be part of the community there and your reviews will get looked over more

Blogging for Cash!

July 15th 2008 05:06
Well, if you are reading this, odds are you have a blog or have considered creating one. Many people don't realize you can make a good amount of money just by blogging. Companies will pay you to blog about their products, create a blog for them, or just post to a blog a few times a week so it stays fresh and new. Obviously, I'd be terrible at this because I blog in spurts but for the serious blogger, you could make a significant amount of money. Let's take a look at some of the more popular paid blogging sites out there!

Brighthub (LINK)

July 5th 2008 20:12
I haven't posted on here in a little bit as I've been busy with family stuff but I recently joined up with Brighthub.

Brighthub is a great place for article writers to work. You apply on their website and if you are accepted, they will place you in a specific area. I'm working in both Home Office and PC. They pay well and are very reliable so you should definitely check them out. They do require a W-9 if you live in the US

A great forum for article writers! (LINK)

June 24th 2008 00:21
I stumbled across a forum called Digital Point that offers all kinds of services for people who run websites. They have a ton of useful information and many different categories. There is a copywriting category that offers writers a lot of great information and an area to buy or sell.

There is also a full buy, sell, trade area but you will have to be a member for a while or post a few times to have access to it

SpeakWrite

May 15th 2008 17:33
SpeakWrite is a transcription company with quite a bit of work available for people of all experience levels. They will have you buy a foot pedal because without one, it's a real pain to start and stop audio by hand constantly.

SpeakWrite is a great place to work as I know three people who work for them. I myself am cheap and haven't shelled out money for that blasted foot pedal
